Classes for March-April 2010

Would you like to learn the basics or advanced techniques of knit or crochet? We offer a range of courses for all skill levels with expert instructors:

NEW! Stunning Slip Stitch Sweater: Slip stitches are a fun way to intermingle yarns to create a sensational effect. There are many unique slip stitches in this sweater for your to learn. Two 2-hour sessions with Kathy Disantis @ $40* (10:30 am-12:30 pm Thursdays, April 15, 29).

NEW! Stash Buster Sampler: Are little bits of yarn taking over your house? If so, then it’s time to try our fun method of turning stash yarn into unique garments and accessories. We will make a sampler in class using this method, so you can see how beautiful these yarns can mesh to make beautiful fabric. One 2-hour session with Kathy Disantis @ $20* (10:30 am-12:30 pm Saturday, April 24.

NEW! Beaded Scarf: Knitting lace is so beautiful, and adding beads lends a touch of elegance to the knitting. We’ll show you how to easily string beads onto the yarn as well as other methods of adding beads to your knitting. One 3-hour session with Kathy Disantis @ $30* (10:30 am-1:30 pm Thursday, March 18).

NEW! Celtic Bag: If you like making cables, you’ll enjoy making this bag. The patterns are challenging and fun. It would make a wonderful knitting bag. Five 2-hour monthly sessions with Kathy Disantis @ $15* per session (10:30 am-12:30 pm Saturdays, Feb. 6, March 6, April 17, May 1 & June 5).

Knit with Jenn: You select the yarn and project. Jenn will help you through your project. We encourage you to choose projects that will expand your knitting skills. Six weekly 2-hour sessions @ $60* (10 am-12 pm or 1-3 pm or 6-8 pm Mondays, or 6-8 pm Thursdays).

Learn to Knit Private Lessons: If you don’t see a class that suits your skill level or special interest, we’ll be happy to tailor private one-on-one sessions with our expert instructors to your needs. Two weekly 2-hour sessions @ $30* (times to be individually scheduled).

Friday Knit & Crochet Club: Sit, visit, and relax with others while working on any of your needlework projects. Offered at no charge, and not an instructional class (11 am-3 pm Fridays).

Crochet with Donnamarie: For beginning and experienced crocheters. Donnamarie will help with pattern reading and learning new stitches. 2-hour sessions @ $10* per session (12:30-2:30 pm Saturdays, March 13, 20, 27 & April 10, 17).

* A 50% down payment is required at time of registration with the balance due at your first class. Class fees are not refundable, and cover instruction only. Yarn for class projects must be purchased at My Sister's Yarn Shop, and will be discounted by 15%.
