Classes for July through August 2010

We offer a range of basic to advanced knit and crochet classes with expert instructors for all skill levels:

NEW! Slip Stitch Christmas Stocking: Christmas in July. A great time to get a head start on your Christmas knitting. This unique stocking uses three colors and slip stitches. It looks much harder than what it is. You need to have a basic knowledge of how to knit a sock to take this class. One 3-hour session with Kathy Disantis @ $30 (10:30-1:30 Saturday, July 24).

NEW! Nicholas Top Down Sweater: If you’ve never knit a top down sweater, this would be a good one to start with. If you’ve done top down knitting, you will still enjoy knitting this sweater. It really works for both boys and girls depending on the color you choose. You will have enough yarn to knit a matching hat. Two 2-hour sessions with Kathy Disantis @ $30 (10:30-12:30 Thursdays, August 5, 19).

NEW! Sampler Sock: This is a fun sock to knit. It has many different stitch patterns, so you don’t get bored. They would be great to keep for yourself or a gift for a special person. You need to have a basic knowledge of how to knit a sock to

take this class. One 3-hour session with Kathy Disantis @ $30 (10:30-1:30 Saturday, August 21).

Side to Side Sweater: This multi-stitch cardigan sweater is knit side to side using many pattern stitches starting at each cuff. It is knit in two pieces and joined together at the center back. Three 2-hour sessions with Kathy Disantis @ $45 (10:30-12:30 Saturdays, June 5, July 10, August 7).

COMING THIS FALL! Lace Throw: Expand your lace knitting skills with a new lace pattern every two weeks for 12 squares. When all 12 blocks are done, you will have an heirloom quality throw. You can choose anything from lightweight worsted wools to cotton blends according to your tastes and needs. Twelve 2-hour sessions with Kathy Disantis @ $15 per session (10:30-12:30 — dates to be announced).

Knit with Jenn or Jennifer: You select the yarn and project. Jenn or Jennifer will help you through it. We encourage you to choose projects that will expand your

knitting skills. Four or five weekly 2-hour sessions @ $40 or $50 per month (10:00-12:00 or 1:00-3:00 or 6:00-8:00 Mondays, or 1:00-3:00 Tuesdays, or 6:00-8:00 Thursdays).

Learn to Knit Private Lessons: If you don’t see a class that suits your skill level or special interest, we’ll be happy to tailor private one-on-one sessions with our expert instructors to your needs. Three weekly 1-hour sessions @ $10 per session (times to be individually scheduled).

Crochet with Donnamarie: For beginning and experienced crocheters. Donnamarie will help with pattern reading and learning new stitches. 2-hour sessions @ $10 per session (12:30-2:30 Saturdays, July 10, 24; August 7, 21).

Friday Knit & Crochet Club: Sit, visit, and relax with others while working on any of your needlework projects. Offered at no charge, and not an instructional class (11:00-3:00 Fridays).
