Judi Rork Hederich

After my sisters began telling people about “my sister’s yarn shop” that would soon be opening, we decided that would be a perfect formal name for the new shop.

My vision was to have a bright, friendly shop where fellow yarnoholics would feel at home, and a great selection of yarn and accessories representing the highest quality brands.

Opening my own yarn shop has been a dream of mine since my late Aunt Sigrid first suggested it to me about five years ago.

I’ve been knitting for more than 25 years, and learned the business while working in a yarn shop in Michigan.

It all began to come together in 2008 when my husband retired and we moved back to the Akron area. My six sisters and I, “the Rork girls,” were born and raised in Firestone Park.

Equally as important to me as the quality of our products is the quality of our service. I’m always here for my customers to answer any questions and help with your projects.

Along with formal classes for beginning and advanced knit and crochet, we also have open sessions where everyone is free to come in and work on their latest projects.
